The yolk houses a tiny embryo (a tiny white dot), we checked that out in a microscope in school for my embryology class. The yolk serves as nourishment for the chick embryo.

Hi Wufoo, GOD make the first 2 chicken. Then the chicken was born from the egg.Part that grows into a chicken, is inside the egg yolk. That is gross, when you think about it.

After the fusion of gametes the zygote is formed
but to protect the zygote which later develops into the yolk a protective shell( white ) is formed
Thus the chicked is formed due to the development of the yolk.

That's an unfertilized egg. In a fertilized egg there will be a chicken fetus in there with the yolk.

the yolk is the food source for the chicken embryo, so technically the embryo develops in the white part.
