Why is it that a lot of people try to tell you what your doing is a sin or that your going to hell, etc. when it says in the Bible that you aren't supposed to act like God and that you aren't God and you don't get to make those decisions, but people do it anyways?

Because those people aren't really being like Jesus. They don't know how to follow their own religion, they're just obsessed with controlling people and holding others to their own religious standards like they are fact. Those people give Christians a bad name.

Your question is general so a few general comments.

Hell is separation from God. If you are there you know it and probably want out. There is no other hell.

No human presently resident on the planet can tell you what is sin for you. Only God can reveal that to you. We call it conviction. If you contemplate doing something and an inner voice or feeling tells you you shouldn't do that BEFORE YOU DO IT that is God.

There is no guilt (your opinion about what you have done) or shame( other peoples opinion about what you have done) with God. With God there is only conviction and afterward if you blow it forgiveness.

It is often the case - whether with Xians or with other religions - that words in the holy scriptures carrying the words of the Prophets are sought to be interpreted in manners that suit their (the clergy or ardent follower) preferences ... reading things out of context... taking the letters of the text and distorting the spirit of the message... and so forth...

The well meant messages carry some times restrictive and sometimes holistic situations into account and it is not difficult for persons of pure heart to rightly understand them... with all the superficial as well as the intrinsic (Subtle) messages of great relevance....

I beg to be apologised to state that I read what I consider a totally distorted version of the Lord's message relating to divorce in one of the websites representing the oldest religious denomination... that the ones that marry outside their denomination can divorce their partner... as the "outsider" was not baptised and the marriage is not to be reckoned in the religious context..!

The Lord had said that whoever sets aside his wife causes her to commit adultery (through remarriage) and thus guilty in the eyes of God.. This is one example only... There are upmteen fall outs among the so called religious people who thrust their own will over what the Lord had said...

I have told a Xian instance because the question spoke of Bible... but there are equally erroneous interpretation of other holy scriptures (of other religions) as well... But this is not to say that all the people in the religious helm are like that...

I read a book 40 years ago, entitled Spiritual Interpretation of the Bible by a Hindu saint (Sri Yuktheswar Giri) which finds inspiring guidelines in yoga in the messages of Jesus... Like that there are many wise men who find the right message in any holy scripture... while there are weak minded bigot ones who want to put their own ideas into the holy messages while interpreting them..

But the Lord is the Truth and Truth does not need the support of the clergy... The pious souls do not look for the interpretation of the messages by others... Be led by your conscience... as you understand the Lord's words...

Does telling someone they are breaking the law (ie. speeding, drinking under age, etc) make you a policeman or a judge? No. It's just informing them of what the law says and what will happen to you if you break the law and get caught. God is the ultimate judge and He already has you caught when you commit a sin. Jesus is your lawyer. He intercedes for you and has taken your sin on the cross and died for you.

this happens because unlike god people are imperfect. through the course of their live they come face to face with their own inadequacy's. so to make up for this they use moral superiority to make them feel all warm and fuzzy inside. now, just saying that something is wrong or that you are doing something wrong isn't good enough. that is where god comes in. by bringing in god you raise the stakes and take the game to a more meaningful level because if you do wrong by Joe blow their are no consequences but you piss of god you get a one way ticket to hell, that is unless you repent.

Did Jesus not command His followers to act like Him?
Isn't Jesus the son of God! Isn't Jesus GOD come down from heaven?
These are the beliefs of Christians. Those of other faiths have nothing to comment. There faiths and their beliefs are not being addressed and would be totally out of place even as I would be very wrong to compare those of other faiths with my beliefs.

Truth? If a lie must be taught to children, and any one murdered that does not agree with one way of thinking, then the
evil actions speak for themselves!

The Bible also tells you to be a living witness and testimony of the Lord and His word.
If what they're saying hurts then it might be true.
Pray. In time God will reveal the truth to you.

The only way to go to hell is to conscientiously deny Jesus as your Savior. If you make a mistake (sin) and you know it the only thing that is damaged is your relationship with Jesus. If you admit your mistake and say I'm sorry then Jesus forgives you and you are right back in fellowship with Him. He remembers it no more (He forgets it.). As far as all the rules given in religion, you don't need them and neither do I. Most of those who need to control you with harsh rules can't even live up to them themselves.

True Christians have a relationship with Jesus. We serve others and put their needs above our own.

No, Torah accepts that slavery (closer to indentured servitude) replaced into area of the society. It set obstacles and regulations on that and provided some protections for slaves/servants. That replaced into necessary before we ought to pass directly to abolishing slavery altogether. Torah in simple terms comes from an before degree in the approach. it extremely is strictly what you could assume from 2700 3 hundred and sixty 5 days old texts.
