In all my years I have never seen this question asked yet it is a very good one open for discussion.

The only obvious answer in my opinion is people should watch government. In this country (USA) we are a democracy where the leaders are elected by the people and they represent the people. As leaders are chosen by the people, they should also be monitored which they are and the results are determined in the next election.

definite, I forget approximately what it truly is stated as yet interior the european they have a device that reads by way of emails. FBI as quickly as had a software stated as carnivore that allowed spying. What approximately cellular telephones and SMS messages(text cloth messages) lower back the SMS frequent is open. So it truly is fairly conceivable for the government secret agent on you there too. What approximately speaking on the telephone? final time I checked there in simple terms wasn't a working set of rules for voice recognitions so as meaning that the skill to confirm words in speech isn't fairly precise. yet that would not recommend they do no longer attempt and %. up what they are able to. China for one censors it truly is human beings from web pages advertising freedom and such. Muslim countries which includes Iran and Saudi Arabia additionally do no longer enable human beings to view web pages that could undermines their ideals or governments. they have units that seem for "unusual pastime" and that they get rid of the undesirable apples.... I used to software routers, the units that enable the internet function. All it takes is a properly crafted get right of entry to-checklist and a central authority is obstructing site visitors. Emails/IM's are actually not even encrypted so as meaning every physique can study them with a packet sniffer. yet that would not be counted reason the government possibly already is conscious the thank you to crack maximum encryption and could study them anyhow. usa and uk are the only places which you would be able to truly use the internet devoid of regulations. So be grateful in case you reside there simply by fact they do no longer block all your utilization..

People need to watch the government, after all, they work for us. Also, a lot of smart criminals gravitate toward government. That's where the real money and power are.

Both. All citizens should have an electronic chip injected at birth so that they can be monitored for life. And the Government should have a monopoly on broadcasting so that its loyal citizens can get only reliable information about its policies. As in, say, Kazakhstan or Uzbekistan.

govt should be far more open and accountable than it is. the US is relatively open compared to my country (the UK) where we sometimes have to rely on the opening of US files to find out about British policies. otherwise, much of our history is hidden under a 30-year rule and therefore those who were in charge cannot be held responsible.

a really worrying development is the proliferation of CCTV. Britain is now the most watched society in the world, with each of us likely to be caught on camera about 300 times a day. i find that worrying.
