Is she arabic or turkish .. I don't think so, she looks so white !! She majored in Biology and French .. minor in social affairs, The french part is maybe understandable .. but how did she become fluent in arabic and turkish ???

I know Arwa Damon from Istanbul, Turkey. Her dad was our Junior High director for some time. We went to the same school (Robert College, an elite school founded by Americans). Being a native Turkish speaker myself, I can tell you that she is completely fluent in this language, which is very difficult for many foreigners to speak. She definitely "really" speaks Turkish, but other languages I haven't heard. I must say I'm very impressed with her work in Iraq, but this gal is no stranger to the Middle East.

Her home for years has been Beirut so she gets a lot of practice speaking the languages of the area. Her college minor in international affairs would encourage her to be multi-lingual. She is fluent in Arabic, French and Turkish.
