im trying to download something thats .rar and I REALLLLIIIII NEEED it.. my comp doesnt accept .rar for some reason. it says it cannot open it. anyone know how to fix this? step by step pleasee!!

You need a file compression utility like WinRar to open that file. But WinRar is not free, so if you want something free, get AlZip from this link, it can also open .rar files!!!!!!!!!

RAR is the native format of WinRAR archiver. Like other archives, RAR files are data containers, they store one or several files in the compressed form. After you downloaded RAR file from Internet, you need to unpack its contents in order to use it.

.rar is the extension for a file compression. You must have the software to open it. Go to www. tucows.com and do a search for rar. There will be a free program there to do it for you.

Winrar is shareware, though I've never really reached a limit with it, while 7-zip is freeware. However, 7-zip packages tend to be smaller if you decide you want to package something. It also unzips .rar files.

Try Saving it to your desktop by download it then the box comes up and press save and you will choose were to save it to

you can find an unrar sofware, usually you can download them for free. rar are similar like .zip
