Because of our hamstrings. We can't lift our legs as high when running back like we can get our knees up when going forward. Running backward is more of a scoot or a skip for this reason. And when the eye can't really see where it's going, that kind of takes the wind out of the sails.

'cause we're used to running forward... if we practice runny backwards for a while .. then its possible to run backwards faster

I'm sure if you practiced hard enough you might be able to but we aren't designed to do that. Plus you've been running forwards almost your whole life so you are used to it.

the same reason your little thingy erects longer forward and not backward.....its designed so.

It's pretty much just because our knees only bend one way... ideally. And our muscles build according to our range of motion.

everything in our bodys our built to go one way, so thats the way it wants to go.
