I'm a 20 year old guy and I have never had sex because I want to wait until marriage. I'm a devout Catholic. I'm not a loser or anything I have tons of friends and party a lot...I just want to wait for Mrs. Right. Any other guys out there who are waiting too?

I commend you for your decision. I wish when I have a son he's like that.

I have a best friend who is still a virgin he just turned 21. recently, he met a really great girl (also a virgin) and is thinking of popping the question.

hang in there! Girls are especially attracted to virgins because they have the self control that most men don't have. and thus will respect you more. Once you give your virginity away you can't get it back so you are completely right in waiting for the right woman to have the honor. If guys try to tease you just remember they are just jealous of you.

God Bless, and best wishes!

I am also very strong in my religion but thats not why I'm going to wait. I just believe that sex is for the person you know is right for you. That being said most girls would either respect you for it or agree with your choice. And if there is a girl who makes you feel bad about it or tries to pressure you, then its clear shes not the right way. Keep up your faith!

Good for you, I initially intended to wait but I gave up at 23. I regret it coz my first time was not so good plus it was not with someone I loved. Also, there are diseases these days and waiting reduces your risk. I intend to marry late (30) so I guess it was always going to be difficult to wait that long. My girlfriend is 26 and she says she is a virgin. I also have a 26 year old cousin who is also waiting.

I am born and raised Catholic but do not believe in waiting to have sex until you are married. It just isn't realistic these days. Statistically you will want to find out what another is like. Unless of course you are an anomaly of these days. I don't mean to be pessimistic but that is just how it is. Would you buy a house without first seeing it. Would you buy a car without first driving it. Would you buy a suit without trying it on. It might need tailoring! Would you buy a pair of jeans without trying them on. If I had married the first man I had made love with I would have been divorced. Experience is a treasure. It enables you to know what you like and dislike. Bottom line is the choice is yours. Good Luck and Happy New Year!

Wow! From the mouth ...i mean thoughts of the young genre...you're quite something. Amazing!!! Imagine...i really thought that good values are really going down the drain these days...but there you are a living manifestation that not everybody is being tarnish by the liberated way of life in the high tech society . Kindly reiterate my heartfelt appreciation to your parents for instilling the best of values to you and the whole family. Your attitude towards life highly speaks of them. God bless!!!

Heyoh, my boyfriend (now my husband) and I waited for 9 nine years till we got married and then did it. And it was great. I join in all your fellow supporters in saying that there was a reason why God intended us to wait. Its basic respect don't you think???

Don't fall under pressure. Its always lurking around there somewhere. Wait for your Lady and I'm sure She'd appreciate that in a time and age like this, she managed to find a sweet little gem like you who preserved yourself..... I'm so touched!! :)

GOOD FOR YOU!!! It's impressive to see someone actually living their religion rather than just paying lip service to it.
