I'm looking to speed up my computer so I want to know if it's possible to buy a new processor and put it into a computer, or to do the same thing with a hard disk thingy that had more memory. If the second option is possible, would having more memory actually make my computer run faster even if I'm not using a lot of my current memory? Answers to any of these questions would be greatly appreciated.

Please when you ask a question like this. Post your Computer's specs . What kind of system ?
What type/how much of memory? What processor you have in it?
Helps out the person trying to help you out.
Most systems if you bought it from Like Dell yes you can upgrade.
Unless it is a much older system.
I once bought a system that came with 256MBS of Ram Mem but could only be upgraded to 512MBS.
That system is now 9 years old and worth $50 if I'm lucky.
Upgrading can bring a bit of that old speed back into your system!
So can clearing out some of those pesky programs that start up when you start your computer!
Keep in mind upgrading can be costly!
Minimum upgrade expense what your time is worth for 4hrs.
Ram Mem $50-$200 depending on how much/what kind. Newer and amount dictates how much it will be.
More hard drive space if you need it? Can run you $80-$350 depending on what companies hard drive you want and how much space.
Processor Depends on what you have and what your Motherboard can support. But for Giggles lowest end Processor (meaning Cheap) $65 highest end (meaning not Cheap!) Closer to if not over $1,000
If you have reached your budget limit already you might want to look into a new pc because as it stands you can buy a decent Desktop PC now a days $500-$650 just the Pc. Hope this helps in your decision.

Yes you can updgrade your processor and your hard drive and your system memory. Depending on how new your computer is though you might be better off buying a whole new computer. See if you can get a free estimate from a local shop. Or post your specs and see what people think. A new processor and more memory would make you computer faster.

Well, is it a laptop I don't recommend for personal experience. Unless you are add few programs to it. Also how old is your computer and what is it? The reason I ask, because if its an apple they are quite complicated but if it's a Microsoft well all I could recommend to get a 3.0 GHRT's. That is the fast-es I know of.

No, you could't upload one greater processor on your gadget, as each and every gadget has a motherboard and the mummy board has in basic terms one slot for a cpu and as u have already got a cpu on ur everex laptop you could't upload yet another one on it, what you're able to do is replace it with a greater effectual cpu so you might purchase . yet that too relies upon on your motherboard so dont pass out and purchase any cpu, examine what cpu your motherboard can help and purchase tht
