First you have to open it, click to close the pop-up windows asking you to upgrade to Pro and the "Tips" windows.
Go to the left hand column and click on Audio, type in the name of the song or the artist you're interested in, move to the bottom of that column and click "Search."
Once all the listings appear in the main window, click on the one that has the fastest transfer rate that most relates to your search. Then under that window click "download."
While it's downloading you can click the button under the left hand column that now says "Back to Search" and do another search for more music.
You can repeat this process up to eight times, as limewire will only allow you to download eight selections at a time.
You may preview the download to make sure it's the right song before it's complete, but clicking on the "Preview" button under the main window.
If it's not the right song, you can click the "Cancel" button also located under the main window.
If it is the correct song, allow it to complete it's transfer then click "Clear inactive" under the main window.
To transfer these songs from your limewire library to your Windows Media Player, open Windows Media Player.
Click the top tab labled "Library."
If you have Windows Media Player 10 click the button under the lefthand column labled "Add to library" you should get a menu where you need select "Add Files and/or playlists."
Your limewire files are located in "My Documents" as a file called "Shared."
Click on that to open it and select the song you want to add to your Windows Media Player Library.
If you have Windows Media Player 11; click on "File" from your top menu bar which will give you a pull down menu. From this menu select "Add to library" (You can also click F3 for this function). Another smaller window will apear ontop of your player, selecte "C:\Documents and Settings" then click the "Ok" buttong at the bottom of that window. Your Player will automatically add all music files from Limewire and other files from your computer to your Media Player.
