im sure ive heard a version of the song Spirit in the Sky by Norman Greenbaum that seems to have been done by Marilyn Manson. im not sure if it is manson or not but it im sure there is likea newer metal version of it and if ther isnt then i must have been dreaming but im pretty sure it was real.

I know somebody did in the late 80's or early 90's. I think it was the Spin Doctors, but don't hold me to that.

yes. DCTalk did a cover to it. or maybe it was just Toby Mac of DCTalk. either way, it was nice. not so much of a sixties flavour to it, though.
