Not likely. You just need to make sure that you start up your firewall every time you start up your computer and you should be safe. If you just left it off and had your Internet running in the background then that is when you would be at risk.

Yes and No. No because it was only a warning to let you know you should turn on your firewall. Yes because anything could have happened between the time of the risk warning and the time you realised you had the alerting message. To be totally sure, scan your computer for viruses or trojans. And make sure your internet firewall is turned on BEFORE you get online. I know how mean viruses can be so better be safe than sorry.

Highyl unlikely that you were being attacked. You should reenable your firewall though. Since your computer was off, it's pretty much impossible to hack into, but once you turned it back on, and your firewall was off, it makes it a lot easier to break into. Just reenable your firewall, and you should be good to go. :)

Nope, it sometimes does happen. Just turn on your firewall. By the way, use a good firewall like ZoneAlarm or Comodo.

A firewall usly starts up with windows automatically. But it depends on the firewall your using, like the one that comes built into windows. You may have installed something that conflicted with it, and it disabled it.
