I always freeze up and find it difficult to play guitar when i get nervous and im hoping as i play more and get more experience this can be something that i can overcome but i dont know

More experience is the key to this. Being nervous and freezing up is completely natural. Even the greats get butterflies, I'm sure.

You will get over nerves the more you proform It helped me at first playing infront of family and friends then make sure some of them are in the audiance and just look for them. Just tell your self it is no big deal they have heard you many times before. It helps a little.

I have that same problem, but i think the trick is not to worry if you mess up. Most people wont notice, only you will and thats what my problem is. Even the best musicians make mistakes, but they continue the performance and it still turns out fine. Just feel the music and play. Just keep practicing

Always start with something really easy. Success begets success, once you get into the mood you can branch out into something more complicated and impressive, but in the beginning give yourself the security of a piece you know inside and out.
