I’m not trying to get into a racist or sexist debate. I just want people’s opinion. BTW.. race and sex does matter.

America is ready for either, but I won't choose by gender or skin color, and nobody else should. Lets at least get someone with a brain and some compassion.

There's a first time for everything and now is as good a time as any. Whatever we have, any mistakes will be blamed on race or gender, so it will be a tough go. Right now, if I had to choose what we're ready for first, I'd say a black president. Morgan Freeman always plays those roles well on film anyway. :)

not Condoleezza! extremely with todays attitudes her existence could be endanger if she became elected, which she isn't. The GOP is going down, and the Dems likly have a winner this next election, perhaps Hillary? i'm hoping not as hse already ran the country for 8 years

Personally, I just want the best person for the job. But in answer to your question, sure, why not a black or a woman or even a black woman for president. Why the hell not?

However, the religious so called republicans will never allow that.

Black president. I've got nothing against a woman president, but when I look at the candidates...I can't stand Hilary, and what difference does skin colour make anyways?

I don't think our country is ready there are to many bigots out there. I bet if a black or a woman were elected they would be asassinated at the innaguration or something.

If that balac woman is Condi Rice, I'm ready. All that matters to me is that we choose the best person available.

a black woman would never get even 5% of the Republican vote.
