i want to buy my boyfriend a jacket, but he is very tall and skinny. would smaller sizes be long enough?

he's six foot four, and his chest measures about 38, which usually is a medium. most size charts that i've checked don't have a sleeve length, so any experience you have with this would be very helpful.

At 6'4", he needs a tall, or maybe even an x-tall. The standard men's sizing is for men much shorter than he is. So not only are the sleeves going to be too short, the length of the jacket will be too short in the torso.
I have no clue about where ot what exactly you want to buy, but try JC Penney. They have a great selection of clothing for talls. I buy a ton of things for my husband there; he is also 6'4". However, he does need the XT, even the talls run a bit short on him.

My son is a 38. He wears a 40 to 42. It fits him better and the sleeves are the right length. If I were u I'd go on line and look for "Tall and Big" Menes clothing there is a couple of places but off hand I can't think of there names.Oh, "Big and Tall men" is one of them, DA? Sorry Brain Freeze. U will find better clothes that way and the prices are good.

You need to look into a Big and Tall Men's shop. They do have Tall, Skinny sizes. My son is 6-9 and only a 34 in waist - I found a leather jacket at such a shop that fits him perfect - long enough in the waist and the arms.

Id try and get him something calles MT which is medium tall and its long- so its made for someone with a long torso.
