how do i put music on an xbox 360 memory card?

I know that you can rip music to the xbox 360 hard drive but i can't be sure about ripping it to a memory card. You can try burning the music to a cd, put it in the xbox 360 and rip it to the mem card to see if it work. When you burn the disc it has to be in a regular CD audio format that would play in any consumer cd player, NOT a mp3,wma,......because those will only play in the xbox 360.
