Agree that Pill messes you up! I've changed loads of them, been on Dianette (was good for my skin), Microgynon 30 (I think that one was the best, looking back), Cilest and I had Depo injection - that one really messed me up, constant smearing etc, never knew when my period was due. I have had low sex drive with all of them!
Now, with all Pills you have some side-effects, mostly low sex drive which is a killer! I'm on Yasmin at the moment, not very happy with it as I have the feeling I've lost a lot of hair since I've been on it, but as we've decided to try for a baby in around spring time, I'll just finish off taking it till then and will not use it again.
Those symptoms actually vary from woman to woman, I've done some research on this subject, so you'll not know from other people's experience, you have to try for yourself. There is ideal way of contraception for every woman, you just have to find it yourself (apparently)!
Good luck!

Yep, yep and yep! Depo was a nightmare for me , I was sick for the whole 3 months and it reacted to the Hypothyroid meds that I have to take.

I had been on the pill for most of my teens and early 20's and was fine, but once I had kids and tried to use it everything changed. I didn't even want to look at my hubby let alone have sex. I was irritable and cranky and unhappy with everyone and everything and sex was awful. I didn't have an " O" for 4 months. I finally said forget it and we've been using a combo of condoms and "pull-out" ever since. I don't suggest you do what I do, I just wanted ou to know that you aren't alone.

Ask your doctor if you can change to the lowest dose possible and see if that might help.

Did you know that modern Natural Family Planning is as effective as the pill and injections (i.e. over 99%) and has no side effects at all?! It is also immediately reversible when you do decide that you want to start a family.

The Couple to Couple League run classes or have a great home study course you can do.

I think this is all down to a hormone imbalance. It may be worth coming off the pill and using condoms (rubbers) instead, to see how things go after the effect of YOUR contraceptive has left your body.
Talk to your doctor if things don't improve a few weeks after coming off the contraceptives.

i switched from ovaranette to yasmine, as i was really unpredictable on ovaranette and had a low libido.

yasmine on the other hand is great. increases your libido, is fab for your skin (especially if you suffer from acne) and can help aid weight loss

speak to your GP, it can sometimes take you a while to find the correct pill for you, it may also be a problem caused by something other than the pill!

Depo is evil.

You could try going to your doctor and changing which birth control pill you use.

I am on Kariva (after four years of hell on Depo) and have had no problems with anything.
