i am pursuing telecom engg currently in second yr.

You must learn C programming language.

if you want to be in "development" in any of the field listed below knowledge of C is required

1) if you are interested in networking especially security
you must know C + one scripting language
2)If you are interested in mobile computing
you must know C + OS + JAVA (would help)
3)If you are interested in Embedded Systems like micro controllers and drivers then also you must know C
4) If you are interested in Signal processing C is MUST + MATLAB.
5) IF you are interested in Fuzzy logic and Artificial Intelligence then also C

You should ask some people at your school or some of your teachers. I know a little of c++, pascal, basic, java, javascript, css, html. Mostly used for hobby. See what is used the most in the industry you want to get into.

According to me C++& JAVA is more useful language to learn.
it will give u a basic idea for making a matterful program.

You must learn C language first. Then go for C++ and JAVA..
They are good options..especially for telecom engg.
Also go for MATLAB.

I think you should master the English language before going on to HTML or C++ or Java.....

I'd suggest one of those three though.

By the time you complete your graduation, all these languages will be outdated. Why bother?. Just enjoy.
