They take up about the same space, as far as I can see- if there is any difference, it is almost insignificant. MP3's and WMA's are both compressed audio files, lower quality than CDs. An MP3, however, has no copyright protection on it, and it played by almost every audio player under the sun. The WMA was developed by Windows and is played by anything produced by microsoft. It is copyright protected, which makes it difficult to be copied. MP3's can be played on an iPod, WMA's can't.

wmas get converted to ACC in itunes anywayz. the best way to go is getting MP3s from 128 to 96 KBPS a 5 min song should range between 3.5 and 6 megs
