Seems to me that through out history all conflicts have been based on either religion or greed. Thoughts?

Religion is dangerous when the masses are fooled to rally behind it. You can't argue with God can you?
It's that kind of mind control that makes religion especially dangerous. Just look at the Islam vs Christianity divide in the world. People are dying because these religions exist in our world. Imagine if they didn't exist, the conflict would not exist. Therefore, is religion inherently evil? A tool used to control the masses?

religion is a tool the greedy use to control the masses. So the answer is: the most death and suffering in the world is caused when the two are used together.
the priests at the top of the pyramid are just greedy, and the poor brainwashed people dying on the field are just religious, but it was the combination of the both who started the war.

I think greed is the root of all evil, like the old saying goes. Greed can be a very bad way to live. It can ruin your life and the lives of other's. It's a bad example to set for others.

Actually, I think if people truly followed the good principles taught by their religions, this world would be a much better place. So I'm gonna go with selfishness/greed.

Greed! Money is the root of all evil! People fight over money and materialistic items. Families fight over a dead loved ones possessions. Drug dealers go after people and sometimes kill people who owe them, you guessed it, MONEY. People have been known to get a life insurance policy on someone, kill them and make it look like an accident for??? MONEY. Money makes Greed! You don't see people getting killed over religion hardly ever. It is usually over money and greed.

greed. it always is greed, because if people kill and say that it's about religion it is just an excuse. I think i whatever religion it always promotes creation not destruction. So i say,.. greed would be it.
