While I think you can definitely get a more complex sounds and bring out more moods, I'm wanting to experiment in bringing out some unique sounds on a single guitar in my new band. I need some good bands who use a single guitarist.

talkin bout bands with good single guitarists (not necessarily metal)-
mudvayne (the timing is almost 2 purrrrfect)
system of a down (same...but more rythm...gr8)
audioslave
red hot chilli peppers
alter bridge (the band sucks, but mark is good)
Incubus (freakin good guitarin..wat a sound!!)
Godsmack (some riffs are pretty good)
Limp Bizkit (but 2 bad wes ain't wid the band nemo :( ne metal head can recognize the limp sound )
