Ive got a kid who is brainwashed by this ICP thing . What do I do he actualy thinks he looks good walking down the street with face paint on and looking like a compleet idiot.... Dont get me wrong Im all for teenage rebelion and finding youre own way and all but I am imbearressed for him and he cant figure why other kids are always threataning to kick his ASSSSS!!!!!!! and comes running to me for protection . He says the ICP it his real family but shows up for Christmas and none of them got him a damn thing... WHAT TO DO???

I am a juggalette and by no means am i 'brainwashed'. You should be proud that your kid is going to be who they are despite what some others may say about it. Would you really rather a kid that did whatever others told them to do? And the family thing is real whether or not you see it. We are a family in that we will be there for all the juggalos and lettes whenever they need us. We will show that we love them even if we have never met that person before. He is new to the whole world as he grows him being a juggalo will become more 'subtle' but there is no reason to be embarrassed for him, he has something that many people wish they had, family all over the world that will love you no matter what.

I personally don't like ICP, but give the boy a break! He's probably not brainwashed, just a little fanatical. Saying ICP are his family sounds like he is missing something from his "real" family and maybe you should concentrate on that instead of being embarrassed of his appearance (which is the last thing he needs). About other kids picking on him, that's going to happen no matter what music he listens to.
Kids are kids, I am sure you listened to music that your parents didn't approve of.

Juggalette speaking.. When he meant family he didnt mean like mom dad brother sister *so on*. He meant people that will except him for him. Whether he's rich or scrubby or middle class. There is nothing wrong with him choosing to be a jugglo. And if he wants to walk around with his face painted. Go him. Its his choice. Not yours.. so deal with it.
EDIT: Not all Juggalos and Lettes are brainwashed.. The kid is going through whats known as clown boy stage. Basically its gotta wear merch gotta buy cd's gotta go to all the shows, if you claim juggalo and dont do all three of those your a juggaho. He'll soon grow out of that stage and realize what most older juggalos/lette's see about the whole ICP thing. Its about knowing that where ever you go your gonna be able to find people you have things in common with. People who won't judge you just on looks but who you are..

I live in Detroit so I see it ALOT! these kids actually do think that the Juggalos are their family. I've checked out some web sites and of course living here but I never knew how it extends even out of Michigan. As far as advice I don't have any really I do just know that they are "Homies for life" and people don't really see or understand how brainwashed ( for lack of a better word ) these kids get.
Don't get me wrong, I have been known to blast some wickid clown at times and gotta give Zug Luv to my boys Zug Izland, but I'm also a grown woman and know where to draw the line.
Good luck and hopefully he'll grow out of it sooner or later.

as far as the Christmas thing, ask him if the dumbass ICP is his real family, why don't they at least call him once in a while. hopefully it's just a phase that he'll grow out of

maybe take him to counceling or somethin if talking to him isn't working cuz this may not be a phase he's goin through cuz i've seen a lot of the icp juggalos at my school and even adult ones on tv. i mean why cant he just listen to icp w/o acting like them....i don't get juggalos. or you could use the old method of somehow scaring him out of listening to them maybe showing him what can happen to gang members cuz i think icp is asociated w/ some sort of gang.

Maybe you can get him into sports or a hobby something that'll take his mind off of the band, other than that I don't know what to tell you.

Don't worry he is probably way more embarassed by you. He's a kid he is having fun and there is allot worse ways to rebel.

my son went through the same thing,,he got kicked out of school for writing down some lyrics from one of their songs on his notebook.....they sing alot about killing and murder......the school wouldn't let him go back till he had a psyc eval.......he is still out of school now....it has been over a month....still not in school.good luck
