Getting a whole different graphics card, no.
But updating the driver, you should go to your graphics card website, if you do not know what the company of your graphics card is, right click on your desktop, go to properties, click on the settings tab, and it should tell you there.
To get a new graphics card to play up to date games you will have to buy a new one because drivers will not allow you to have better memory, or something like that. To be able to play really good games like Battlefield 2, I recommend, 256 mb card, with pixel shaders and all of that other stuff.
Go to www.systemrequirementslab.com to see which games your computer can run and the ones that it can't. You can also see what kind of hardware you have.

Well you can download the latest drivers for free from the net legally at least I was able to with my PCI Express Radeon X300SE. But if your card doesn't meet the minimum specifications for the game you'll need to get a new graphics card installed.

Yes, you can update your graphics card's drivers online.
But you can't upgrade it.
If you want a better graphics/video card I suggest you go out to some place like COMP USA and buy the one you want. Don't, however, forget, that a more powerful video or graphics card may require you to buy a bigger power supply along with it.

Depends. If you have an Intel videochip, sometimes the driver's outdated and can be updated to give you more memory. Otherwise, no.
