i'm having trouble finding good friends... everybody looks so self involved

True friends do exist. You just have to keep searching. The right ones will come along. Just be on guard and decide who you think might be friends or just users. Just because they don't have a lot time doesn't mean they aren't friends.A true friend may not be there all the time. They are the ones that don't run when you are in true need. They are the ones that are aleast there in true need. They don't run when there is a true crisis in which they are needed. You will be able to tell the fly by night friends and the true ones.

self involved is the way that people are these days. Its hard to find a good friend but you will eventually, it takes time. My best friend and i have been friends for 9 years now. The thing is i only have one BEST friend and then two or three GOOD friends and the rest are just people i talk to for the moment being.
So to answer your question, the chances of finding 6 GREAT friends is rare, but just be yourself and some one will like you for you.

well the only real friends are your family. they are the only ones who truly care for you and will be always there for you...those people who have real friends outside the family r rare....but of course also lucky. But be very care full about choosing friends since most of them r going to be oportunistic and only be around as long as they need something from you....

i'm not sure if you are still in highschool but I definately had that problem in highschool- once I went away to college and met a ton of people from all over I was able to find true friends

I think so,.. Well maybe not the exact detail of who & how they lived, but maybe the thought that there are still people who value each other the way FRIENDS did.

I'm pretty sure that friends like in the tv show do exist. it's pretty rare and rewarding
