350 turbo and 700-R4?

im lookin at buying an 86 C-10 truck, 2wd. was the 700-R4 the only tranny in the trucks with 4wd? or were they in all of them when the 700-R4 was introduced?

the trans was an option for the 2wd and standard in the 4x4

The 350-c was still around in 86, in some model trucks,but the 700R-4 was more common

most have the 700r4 in the automatic
