hmm. I picked it up for pennies at a sale somewhere, read it, thought it was "eh" (happily in a 3 yr relationship, I was just reading it to read it and because I'd heard a little about it.) then I endured my BF teasing me about it (not because of the content, but because he slightly knew the male author and thought he was not exactly the authority on relationships.) so I gave it away to one of my co-workers and another girl who works there saw it and squealed "Oh my god, I LOVE that book - that book CHANGED MY LIFE!"
so that's one "get it from the library" vote from me and one "oh my god it changed my life you must read it" vote from the squealer.
I would agree with your assesment of what he says - if you're the kind of girl that knows if he doesn't call you, or texts occasionally instead of calling when he says he'll call, or makes excuses for not calling, or weeks go by where he is "too busy" to see you or call you, then it means he's just not that into you - then you don't need to get the book. If you need to be told that in flat terms and go into denial (maybe he really was busy) then you do need the book.

Go to the library. If you can, listening to the audio cd with the authors reading it is best. It's more fun this way. To be honest, this book make me look at a couple of the guys I dated in the past, and really see that when I was feeling uncertain, I should have been listening to my gut. Since then I have been with someone who is just right for me. This book can be useful and good for some people.

Girl that book just made me feel like there is no such thing as love, it seemed that if as a woman I wasnt getting EVERYTHING I wanted out of a man he wasnt into me, I began to question every relationship Ive ever had including my marriage! Its an OK read but not worth buying it, try getting it used or from the library

Is this book written by Dr. Phil. I wouldnt buy it go to the library and read tit and then if you want o buy one for yourself then do so. Heres what I do. If I hear of a book that I think I would like to read I go to the library and read it, and then if I really like it then I will order it and this way i can read it again.

No, its not worth the money. All its basically saying is if he doesnt like you, its his loss. And how to tell if hes not that into you, which hello, you already know but just wont accept if you havent already. My teacher told all the girls in our class we had to get it. I checked it out in the library and wished i hadnt wasted my time.

it is absolutely worth the money -- I loved this book, and I'm pretty cheap about buying books I can borrow from the library.. anyway, this book is well worth the cover price... I still open it and read from certain passages randomly, and it still makes me laugh!!

no, but I saw interviews on Oprah, and she had a full show about it.
It's just a reality check for girls, who sometimes need to realize that sometimes it's just not the right guy for you.
