so....i have sim city and i don't know if it's an expansion pack of sims 2. i really doubt that but i need to know for sure that you can install it without sims 2.

No it is not. Sim City is a simulation game where you create a city or metropolitan area and make it flourish in beauty and wealth. The Sims is a simulation game that focuses on creating succesful human beings in a virtual world. Same company but 2 different games.

It's not, they are 2 completely different games. Sims 2 is a base game that has expansions of it's own.
