For sure it's the best ever!! It's been the best since Mike Hussey and Stuart Clark have come into the team. You've got the modern day Bradman, in Ricky Ponting. The most succesful Australian opening batting pair ever, Langer and Hayden. One of the most promising youngsters ever, M.Clarke. Mr. Cricket himself (who is such a good all round player it's scary) Mike Hussey, and then, to top it all off, you have the best fielder in the world (who is a bloody good batter to) Roy Symonds, and the most succesful batter/keeper ever, Adam Gilchrist.
And it doesn't stop there, you have the best bowler ever to grace a cricket field, Shane Warne, and his partner in crime, Glenn Mcgrath. Then you have two bowlers who compliment each other, you have pace (Lee), and control (Clark).
Although past teams have had so much talent (Chappel brothers, D. Lillee, Rod Marsh and Thommo), there has never been a team as complete as this current Australian team!

YES....
they are definately the best aussie team ever, where u have gr8 openers like langer and hayden. You have ricky ponting as one of the finest players of the game. then you have ppl like symonds, gilchrist and hussey who can contribute in the lower middle order. And last but not the least, the bowling line up is on the top. Warney is in his peak form, Mc grath is getting wickets like anything, and brett lee- the fastest and stuart clark . That is all you want in a cricket side.
NOW, They will white-wash 5-0 in the ashes.
GO GO GO, GO AUSSIES GO

Defenitely YES. Their present team is very well balanced and capable of defeating any team in the world. However, things may change with the exit of Ponting, Hyden, Langer, Gilchrist, Mc Grath and Warne.

Even as a one eyed Aussie supporter I would have to say no. They are a great side and better than the rest at the moment, a bane to the Poms for sure!!...But there have been better sides. Bradmans team. Waughs, Taylors, some of the Windies were fantastic. So reluctantly no.

this australian side comes no where close to the West Indes side that dominated the game in the 70s, 80s and half of the 90s. That side had da likes of Richards and Sobres with the bat and the likes of Walsh and Roberts with the ball

I would rate them as second best even though it is dangerous to compare teams from different eras.
The best, the 1948 "Invincibles" who went through an English tour undefeated in ALL games. They were led by Bradman
