There was some other boy band very similar to Nickelback when they first got big. But I don't think they made it very far. If you have any suggestions please help.

I remember the group Stained had some hit songs on the radio around the same time that Nickelback first started to, I haven't heard much from them lately

I'm going to say you're thinking of Stone Sour. I used to constantly think they were Nickelback and their lead singer looked exactly like Chad Kroeger almost. They had one hit Bother and they have a song out now but otherwise they were never that big.

Probably Creed. And Nickleback is not a boy band. A boy band is young boys that sing, dance and preform but none can usually play an instrument.
