On both of my kids I felt the first kick (from outside) at 17 weeks. Keeping in mind I was skinny and well toned. It will vary a lot on your body type. Women with a 'little extra' may have a harder time feeling it from the outside.
I remember every night I would lay flat on my back, and rest my hands on my stomach and wait. The first time it scared me half to death...but it was awsome. Then I had to grab my husband and make him wait too.
Congrats!!!!

Well, most women themselves do not feel the baby move untill about 14 weeks. I would say that it really depends on a number of things. If you are really thin, then if will probably happen sooner, but if you are a little thick, like me, then a little later. But regaurdless, it is a magical experience, and you both will never forget it. The best thing to do, lay down on the bed and relax, watch together for the movement and just let your hand rest on your tummy. Good luck!

I was just shy of 20 weeks when I felt the first little flutter of my baby moving. It was 24 weeks that I could really feel her moving around. About 27 weeks along I could feel her on the outside of my belly as well. She was really picky about who could feel her move though, so it may depend on your baby's mood. Soon enough she'll be bouncing around your belly and people won't only be able to feel her, but they'll be able to see her. It's insane. That's the part I miss most of being pregnant.

depends on the baby.. and depends on your body. My friend is quite obese and we couldnt feel her baby kick ever.. I want to say 24 weeks is about when my husband could start feeling the baby through my tummy.. but still pretty faint. Im 35 weeks right now.. and my tummy looks like a scene from alien or something... her little feet and hands are constantly bumping around in there, it makes my whole tummy move.

my son started kicking my husband at about 7 months I think. It depends on how big you are, weight wise and where the placenta is sitting. My cousin couldn't feel barely anything because her placenta was on the front of her uterus, mine was elsewhere, I felt everything. I used to lay on the loveseat with my feet up for a rest, lay the remote on my belly and watch it dance. My son was quite the kicker, mover and shaker.
