I don't mean Harry Potter stuff, genies or that, I mean magician things. Magic tricks.

If you are referring to stage magic, the likes of Penn and Teller, I find it very amusing but it is all slight of hand and misdirection.

If you are referring to magick (spelled with a 'k' on purpose), as practiced by Wiccan, then I also believe in it as I am Wiccan. The best way to describe this type of magick is that it is akin to pray but instead of relying on the generosity of an external Divine entity, magick uses the personal energy of the one doing the magick.

Well, I believe in both! The fantasy stuff (*not* HP... ugh... not that kiddy stuff!) and also magic by magicians... well, to be more accurate, I believe in the mindfreak, Criss Angel! He's the most talented, enigmatic modern magician/ILLUSIONIST alive today. Plus, he's hot (and he's 39! Go figure...)! lol

Obviously, it's called magic TRICKS for a reason, but it depends on your definition of "magic." For example, some people believe in the "impossible" type of magic versus those who define magic as "illusions that only the creator knows" as is the case with Criss Angel. I believe that what he does IS magic and that magic pretty much = illusions.

Magic tricks? I don't believe in them, anyone can do magic 'tricks'. I do know there is real magic in the world and none of the tricks can compare.

magic tricks is nothing more than mis-leading people,so that it appears they have done an impossible feat, but like my cousin told me,which was a good way of thinking about,"if you cant explain what you just seen down to the details, then it is magic" cause you cant prove that it isnt magic :D

Magic tricks like "Cups and balls" and "Sawing the lady in half"? Sure - Penn and Teller are great at it, as well as showing how many of the prestidigitational tricks are done.

I believe in both. True magic and illusion.

asking that is like asking people whether they believe in heaven and hell. a prayer is the same thing as an incantation(psalms), or invocations(serenity prayer). but essentially, yes magic is real.
