Its hard to go against the common perception that Tomlinson is the best football player in the league, he can do it all. However, better proven pure RUNNING BACK you could make an argument for Barber. The San Diego O-Line is clearly a better run blocking line than the Giants'. Tomlinson still has to prove he can last enough seasons to make a huge impact on the game. Barber isn't exactly a spring chicken, and he's not the biggest back, so he's tough and extremely quick. While I believe its still easy to say Tomlinson is the best back and player, Barber isn't far behind

Tiki was questioning if he will retire or not. L.T. broke the Touchdown record and will set the bar high, even thou he missed a couple of games this season! What a stud! He is the only reason why san diego is even in the playoffs most like, him and the O.Line

LT may be the top RB in history. At least in the top 5. Tiki is good, but only top-5 in a season.

I cant even make a caveat that LT is just better because of his system, or a superior O-line, or the way they use him. He's just 100% solid at every aspect of the position, and 90% solid at a bunch that arent :)
