How greedy can they be? Most of these "bowls" cannot be making money.

It's BEEN time for a BCS playoff for several years. They do it in I-AA, why cant they do it with the big boys too?

Top 10 teams make it, first 2 get first week bye, 3-10 4-9 5-8 6-7, then top remaining seeds vs lowest remaining seeds to ensure the 1 vs 2 could only meet in the championship game. There's 3 weeks in the bowl season, one game a week and the big game after the New Years.

Actually, I think there should be a "happy medium." Use the biggest-paying bowls as playoff sites and let the smaller bowls retain their relationships. Anyone that wins 7 games should be rewarded with a bowl trip, especially if they played a tough schedule and happened to beat at least one team ranked higher than themselves. That way, even the bowls make money, we have a playoff to establish the best teams in the country and most everyone would be happy!
