I keep my cat's litter pan on vinyl tile floor. He tracks some of it around the pan. Can I just use my normal vacuum to pick it up or will it clog it?

It really depends on the kind of vacuum cleaner you have. A lot of them have easy to remove tubes where things can get clogged, and others are harder to work with. I would get an extra vacuum cleaner (maybe a cheap used one) to use just for the litter. Especially if you really like the one you have but think it might get clogged.

You can easily vacuum up kitty litter. The beater bar on the vacuum however usually will scatter the litter around when you try to vacuum it up, so be sure to use the hose attachment.

Yes you can vacuum it up. And don't worry it wont stink up anything. I've got ten cats and I vacuum up kitty litter all the time, and it has yet to have stunk up my vacuum.

Yes, I have no problem vacuuming it. Try getting one of those little mats that will collect some of it as your kitty comes out of the littler. I vacuum that too.

Is he tracking little clumps of used litter or is it fresh? If it is unused and there is no moisture at all it should be fine. If there is even a hint of moisture do not vacuum it up...just get a whisk broom and a dust pan.

I do this all the time, never have had a problem...my vacuum is a bag less one so I don't know if that makes a difference but can't imagine that it does.

It will clog up your vaccuum as I had two cats and needed two vaccuums outta it. There's this sweeper instrument that works like a vaccuum that you can use on carpets and stuff that will pick up the litter. I also suggest putting a mat in front of cat box, this will help it scent the area where its litter box is. :D Hope this helps
