I have a copy of RS:Vegas for the 360 that I bought a few days ago, but do not like it. I'm thinking of trading it in for Gears or just selling it.

most likely from 5 to 10 dollars. I remember i sold back a game i recently bought. It was practically new but they would only pay like 4 bucks for it. Those dirtbags always try to cheat people out of money. My suggestion is that you go on ebay and sell the game because it's still fairly new and people will want to buy it. Going on ebay will also get you ten times the money you would have gotten from ebgames

Maybe $20-30 at the most. Although you bought it a few days ago, that is in reality enough time to have played and beaten the game, therefore making your purchase worth the money. Try to sell it to a friend or something beforehand, to make some extra dough.
