with gasoline at 6.3, that would make diesel 7.0, because it is a little heavier, but can vary with the temp and barometric pressure, and it really depends on how much air California puts in it :)

Ithink the specific gravity of diesel 7.5 therefore one gallon will be 75% of one gallon of water which weighs 10lb.That would make 1 gallon of diesel fuel weigh 7.5lbs

If I remember correctly, my automotive teacher told me way back when, that diesel was a tad lighter than gasoline, which is a tad lighter than water! 7.384lbs per gallon!
