I am looking to do some small DIY home projects but just can't seem to find a place to buy lumber other than the odd DIY store but sizes are limited and expensive. Are there lumberyards in Singapore?

Not sure about lumberyards but you can try IKEA stores.

Good luck.

A GPz750 or a2 stroke like the RD250lc seem like good projects to me. The lc was & is a classic in the truest sense & the GPz was a great bike of its time but how about a Yamaha Fs1e. Small, cheap & easy to work on, another classic & if you want to sell it when it's finnished there should be no problem selling it for a profit. One thing though, if you choose a 2 stroke & it has been standing you will have to change the crank seals as they will have perished because they don't stand in an oil bath like a 4 stroke.
