is it possible? he has been drooling alot more than normal and he bites on his hands all the time. also lately hes been really fussy, more than usual. nothing seems to soothe him. i let him suck on a cool teething ring for a bit it seemed to help. but teething at 3 months seems too early. am i nuts?

sounds like hes teething. my son started teethin at 2.5 months.
go to wal mart and buy orajel and teething tablets, gas drops and tylonal (if you dont already hae them) Teething tablets seem to work better for my son. theyre about 6 bux, but theyre a herbal rememdie and you can use them almost as often as needed. - a lot mor often than orajel (the box has limitations printed on it but on bad days... u can use more) your son will start sucking on his fingers. fists, anything he can get his mouth on so keep an eye on him and watch what hes chewing on. buy him small roys that he can hang on to, sometimes those big teethers are hard for small hands like these to hold on to and get to the mouth. afetr administering teethin tablets, stick a pacifier in the mouth and the kid may go to sleep! (great for when they dont want to sleep becayse of teething or theyve been crying un consolably, fussing and all that)

Very possible even though that first little chomper might not break through for weeks or months yet :o) If he is really fussy try baby Tylenol and Anbesol. A face cloth dampened with cold water is an essential for my baby when he is teething; he doesn't like the teething rings because they are too hard on his sore little gums right before a tooth appears.

Mine went through the same thing and she is almost 6 months and still no teeth. She would "teeth" (it would seem) for about a week-chewing, drooling, being fussy and then be fine for a few weeks and then it would repeat. My friends told me that the teeth move up and you have the symptoms of teething and then the theeth can go back down so it takes many months.

Nope your not crazy. My son started teething at two months and cut his first two teeth at four months. What is odd is that he is now 13 almost 14 months and has 14 teeth with 2 more coming in right now. Every child gets teeth at different ages, the frequency and number of teeth at a time is also different for each child.

As for soothing, besides what you are already doing Tylenol and oragel may help your little one.

No you are not nuts, my 4 month old started teething at 3 months, nothing has actually broken through yet, but there is movement in there. I have also heard of babies actually being born with teeth (that would be freaky). Try some Bonjela, that seems to help

Yes, teeth can come early. My daughter had 4 teeth at 4 months. A very occasional baby is born with teeth! (By the way that same daughter lost her baby teeth at 4 years old had all her adult teeth by age 11, and had to get wisdom teeth out at 12.

my sisters daughter got her first tooth at 3 months. if he is un sooth able then take him to the doctors just for a check up. it wouldn't hurt. sometimes give him Tylenol. or rub orajel on his teeth. if both of those work then its probably his teeth. also freeze a wet wash cloth and then let him suck on it for awhile that will help. it did all my sons. also they sell these net bag things to put solid food for babies so they don't choke. i put ice in them and let my kids nibble on them for awhile. they sell them at Burlington coat factory. my youngest son is 16 months and he only has 8 teeth and he's still teething. your only in the beginning. hopefully something works. good luck!!

Yes that's what it is. It can takes months before the first tooth arrives though.
