It is 100% true. Although at one point of time or upto a certain period, they can remain only freinds but if this freindship continues, it has to be converted into love-emotional attachment towards opposite sex.

A boy and a girl can be very good friends without any other meanings. In fact, there are numbers of them.

The problem is with the world (others); they can not believe or accept a platonic friendship and they would start talking about the relationship the way they perceive it...

But in any case, if the duo is sure that it is a pure friendship, nothing else matters.

Answer in short is - Girl & Boy Can Be Just Friends...

They can be only friends but the society does think that this boy or girl must be having illicit relation other then friendship that's why boys don't do true friendship with girls and at the same time girls also don't make boys as true friend in general.
It means certainly if boy and girl having friendship that means there would be some emotional or physical relationship between them.

I used to have a friend from my college days and our friendship was there for a period of 6 years and then I had to move to other country for better prospects... then she called me and told me that she loves me.... (The relation didnt work out because there was the religion which created the problem between us ) and we had to break and now we dont talk to each other... But you know what I believe that we need to stay as friends... and never try to change the relation...

Yea, at first i didnt either. Until i ended up with a guy for a best friend. I thought we were just friends but we've both noticed that there seems to be an emotional attraction as mentioned below. Im sure its possible to just be friends but its rare

well it's possible but it's kinda hard for a guy and a girl to just be friends bcuz there's always gonna be some kind of attraction between them. me and my bf that i have now were really good friends before we started dating. and now we've been going out for four months. so i guess the saying a boy and a girl cannot just be friends is kind of true but then again it's not. it's just different for everybody i guess..

i think a boy and a girl can be friends if they are having a platonic relationship.it depends on their chemistry and their comfort zone at what relation they are comfortable in.nowa days as our society is changing its belief and ideas about friendship, more and more people are commiting more on friendship rather than a one night stand or getting involved subconsciously. i think one should respect such relation where friendship come be it with a boy or a girl.

I know it is possible. I have quite a few friends that are male, and have no attraction for them other than for friends. Some I even think of as brothers.
