It was an absolute chaotic blast! Policemen on horses steering the crowd, walking without your feet touching the ground (being carried by the sheer mass of the crowd), and the most laughs I had ever had up until that point. Just people watching was hysterical, and then the ball dropping - awesome, deafening roars and cheers!! After that, we hit every bar we could find open and just felt like we knew everyone in the place! Mini celebrations and we'd move on to the next place. 20 years ago and I'm sure it's not much different today. Put it on your list of things to do - at least once! Congrats on your first New Year as a wife. I'm heading out of Vegas. Happy New Year!

I was there to bring in 2002. The first one after 9/11. I was nervous but I felt safe after I saw all of the security. It is an awesome experience.

No, yet I had a cousin bypass. He mentioned it became his worst new years ever. Packed like sardines. Drunken human beings everywhere. He went to New Orleans one 3 hundred and sixty 5 days too and enjoyed it.

My step son and his girlfriend were there last year. They are from Montana, a long way from New York! They had fun.
