What right does our government have to execute him? I thought it was the Iraqis who were responsible for his death. How much more hated can the US be?

The timetable was based on information that U.S. officials in Baghdad received from the Iraqi government. But, there were differing accounts.

Read the story. The White House is NOT preparing to execute Saddam; it is preparing for the protests that will obviously take place to try and prevent the hanging, or protest after he is hanged. But it is the Iraqi government that will do the hanging, probably in secret in a secret location, but with officials of various governments as witnesses.

The White House is not preparing to hang Saddam. Saddam was convicted in an Iraqi court for crimes against his own countrymen. His hanging is the result of this conviction and officially has nothing to do with the United States.

You are getting that wrong. The Iraqi government are getting ready for it. The White House is not getting ready for it. Anyway, Saddam deserves to get hang. He killed a ton of his own people. Why do you hate the U.S. for anyway? If you dont like it then leave.

We aren't executing him. Saddam is a dangerous leader who put his own people through torture and hell. He had women molested and children raped and killed. You have to ask yourself: Why would the leader of a nation do that?
Because Saddam is sick and inhumane. If the law didn't interfere, many more Iraqi would die. So we put him in jail, and the Iraqi are executing. The sentence was lifetime in jail, but so many charges were against him that they decided to execute.

We are not executing him. He was tried in an Iraqi court under their laws. His own people have condemned him to death. We merely captured him.

He will not be hung in the White House... And hanging is to fast and easy for his death. Think about all the people Saddam killed.
And why are you so worried about this. Are you one of Saddams followers
