How do i get past a firewall?

I am at work and i get internet access but it wont let me use my Downloading program because a firewall is blocking it from doing so. How do i get past it?

By finding means to bypass your firewall, your company would have grounds to fire you. A firewall is software or hardware that blocks specific ports. In order to bypass it, you need to have access to the firewall and open up those ports that you need for your program.

Typically, only I.T. and more specifically the network admin has access to the firewall.

I'm sure you can get past it, but not sure how. Good luck I hate them company firewalls lol.
