BOTH! It was both for real and an act of conspiracy depending on which side of the fence you ar on. You could be on the side that is intelligent enough to see holes in the offical story or you could be one that is spoon fed propaganda by the government and the media.

Its sort of like a child who first reads the Bible then a preacher tries to tell him that Jesus is a "Jew." the child will argue that fact because the Bible never says it.
