I don't like the idea one bit. And even worse that the FDA plans on not labeling it so Americans will know which is which. Most people don't know that a far higher percentage of cloned animals have deformities and medical problems. What does that mean for the people who eat the meat and drink the milk of such animals

Soon the FDA will have on there website a comment section for this ruling that Americans can post their concerns I suggest that all people concerned search FDA and go to this site. Make your concerns be known. Hopefully it will make a difference!

There is only about 4 years of data and research currently done on the effects of these animals meat and milk to humans. It is way too soon to declare it safe and to not even tell which meat is which is deplorable and another gift to big industry. Most all of Europe does not allow it. Why should we?
Thanks for the good question!

A large majority of Americans are against this. Shouldn't the FDA represent the Americans concerns?

I'm ok with it. The process of creating a clone is little different from artificial insemination, and we have been eating meat produced that way for ages. I want to know what the FDA has to say about cloned vegetables, then finally cloned fungi, such as mushrooms. Where is the outrage over THAT?

Cloned animals are born the exact same way as normal animals. The fertilized eggs are implanted in the animals' womb and they grow exactly the same way as normal animals. It just ends up being an exact copy of another animal. There is nothing odd or strange that would make these animals dangerous or inedible.

Not at all comfortable. And to think they won't be labelling the cloned meat. You won't know what you are eating. Time to think about going veggie.

I have a HUGE problem with this. I would feel better if they would at least label it that way so that I have a choice. From what I understand they are NOT going to label it. This makes me want to become a vegetarian. I

Haven't read it. If true I would be very uncomfortable eating it. It's scary enough eating regular meat with all the growth and production hormones they give them. Not counting the antibiotics.
