Okay, first off it's not slang. So you being Mexican has nothing to do with you being able to understand MCR's metaphores and symbolism; heck, alot of people don't understand it. To really understand it, it would help to be able to really understand the band and their music. It would also help if you wrote music...but...I digress...

The Black Parade is a metaphore or a large example of symbolism. The song says "When I was a young boy my father took me into the city to see a marching band..." and his father continues on with the fatherly 'when I'm gone' type kinda stuff, the marching band the boy was taken to see was part of a parade. Thus, the parade becomes a comforting image to the boy as he grows older. The Black Parade becomes a metaphor for death, so instead of saying that he was going to die, he says that he will "Join the Black Parade", as this is a way to fear the ultimate ending of his life.

So, in short, the "Black Parade" is death. It is a way for this particular person to view death in a way that does not frighten him so much.

I hope this helps you! XD

In an interview Gerard Way said " I believe that when you die, death comes to you in your happiest memory. The Patient's (the main character on the album) death comes in a form of a parade because it was his fondest memory while alive" So the "Black Parade" means that death comes as a parade for the main character.

"When I was a young boy my father took me into the city to see a marching band. He said son when you grow up will you be the savior of the broken, the beaten, and the damned?" I'm not much into Emo Rock, but I enjoy My Chemical Romance.

The Black Parade is referred to as 'death'. From Gerard and Mikey Way's grief and depression when Gerard was younger from the death of their father. Mikey wasn't born yet but Gerard was 2.

'Helena' was the death of his grandmother

Death. His father died and joined the Black Parade.
I love that song 2, and I've seen this question asked b4. Seen many answers, and I think this one is the most reasonable.
