Tyra Banks says to wiggle the brush at the base of the lashes. This will make your lashes appear fuller, thicker, and 10 more gorgeous. ps dotn put mascara on ur bottom lashes. It only looks ok on dancers when they are performing.

You can go back to the lady who helped you apply your mascara to tell you again how she did it. She should tell you what kind of lashes you have, and how to do it with your type.

Practice, practice, practice. Applying make-up is a skill. The lady at the store did a great job because it is her duty to learn the skill. Here's how I do it: 1st, try to relax. It's most probable that you'll create some mess or you might hurt your eyes if you're tensed, so find ample time to do it and give enough leeway for mistakes. Take it easy :) When you're ready, curl your eyelashes first. Start with the base, clamp, then count up to 10. Then go on with the tips. Do the same with the other eyelashes.

Carefully apply your mascara (invest in a good one), from the base to the tip. Let dry for a few moments, then reapply up 2x or 3x. Make sure that both eyelashes are evenly coated.

Keep a lot of Q-tips, makeup remover and tissue handy.

You can also try also false eyelashes.

Apply the mascara, the use a eyelash brush to separate the lashes (the plastic comb side, not the bristles).

Before they dry, apply a second coating, and then separate them again.

For a dramatic look, use an eyelash curler (about $2-$4 at a drugstore) and then again use an eyelash brush.

apply the mascara from the top of your lash line (starting at the brow) and sweep it all the way across to the end of your lash. this is to ensure that no clumps come from applying your mascara.
to know what kind of mascara to get, think of what you need the most. me, I get the length and volume kind b/c I have short, dense lashes. The Lash Stylist by Maybelline works great.
last, most people advise only 1-2 coats of mascara, and this is great for day wear, but if you are going for a highly dramatic look then apply as many coats of mascara as you need until you achieve that look. curl your lashes before and after putting on eye makeup. good luck!!

use an eyelash curler first and then put your mascara on
or start the brushes from the roots underneath your top lashes and wiggles up as many times as you want
or put the mascara near your eyelashes and keep winking until you get all your eyelashes
or start at the top root of your lashes and go out with the mascara
or use a mac or benefits primer before you use the mascara

If you've got a toothbrush or a small comb on the end of an eyebrow pencil, use that to comb the mascara through your lashes and get them heading in the desired direction. Don't use more than two coats of mascara because it will look trashy.

well when you first apply the mascara and it starts to clump dont go over it again cause it will clump even more (trust me it always happens to me) just use like a qtip or like a thin comb andtry to seperate teh eye lashes. lash exact from cover girl is awesome it makes your eyelashes longer and fuller plus it doesnt clump!

start with clean fresh eyes...if you dont have eye makeup remover use a washrag/.bath towel with warm water and cover your eye with it for a few seconds to soften the old mascara...
store your mascara standing up..it will come out of the tube fresher and with less lumps..

When you pull the brush out of the tube rub the side of the brush against it to get off most of the mascara and apply... you may have to wait a few secs apply a second or third coat.

Good luck, hope you get the look you want
