I've taken Ativan and it knocked me out. Valium just completely relaxed me the first time. The second time I took it, it didn't do anything.

I take prescription Xanax everyday. It's not a matter of liking it, it's that I need it. It keeps me from having panic attacks. I used to take Valium. I think it worked better but became so abused no doctor's want to prescribe it anymore.

Valium, RX from my dentist (he likes me to not be hysterical and screaming while he works on my mouth).
I LOVED it. Went right to sleep. Nice looooong nap. Woke up with clean, fixed teeth!

They gave me a valium before I had my lazer sugery, I've taken xanax before.... dont like them!

Three years ago, I was prescribed Valium to help me get through my husband's dying, his subsequent death and his funeral. Helped tremendously.

It's not a point of whether i 'liked" it, it was for medical reasons and yes it helped me short term.
