How r Stone Cold Steve Austin and Funaki great friends??
If u look @ their wrestling carrers on WWE they r very very different yet Funaki is one of Austin's greatest friends. In fact Stone Cold was one of the reasons Funaki moved down to Texas

It's really hard to know for sure. Believe it or not a lot of wrestlers that have different types of careers will be the best of friends. Johnny Nitro is good friends with John Cena and Randy Orton, Ken Kennedy is good friends with Lance Hoyte, John Layfield is good friends with Mark Callaway (JBL and Undertaker), etc. Wrestlers can just bond because of brevious history or just by traveling together. Shelton Benjamin was great friends with Brock Lesnar because they both were all americans and they were partners in OVW. Really when you look at it though, Funaki and Austin both started in the WWE at around the same time. So who really knows.
