Eastern music divides the octave by quarter tones while western music divides it by half tones. Western scales are based on what is called equal temperament. Eastern division is unequal. Since Eastern music uses a different formula to calculate the division of notes in a scale I would say no the pitches in western music are not the same.

some are the same, but the Indian scale uses a lot more tones than Western scale
