It's important to date the person for a long time. Lust rubs off and then you are stuck with the real person. In a Sociology class I was told that 26 is the most successful age for a lasting marriage.

Age is not nearly as important as being able to form a viable economic unit. However, the education needed to secure employment that pays well takes a fair amount of time, so many people wait until after graduating from college to get married. I consider this to be wise.

28 and up is a good age. By then you figure out what you want. Before then it is time to date and figure out what it is important to you. Honestly I don't think I really had a clue until I was about 32. I thought I did.
