Hi,
I have a 1990 toyota camry(US) and my car just got broken into and they stole the deck, and now my internal dashing lights don't work along with the other internal panel lights (ex. for heat, rear defrost,etc.). I had a new deck installed and still none of the internal lights work. However, the dome light and parking lights, along with tail lights work. I checked the fuses under the steering wheel and under the hood. I even changed the dimmer switch to see if that would work. I checked the wiring to see if the theives cut the wires; however, they are still all intact. Please help me and tell me if you know what is wrong. Once again, the internal lights do not work (dash, defroster, park, drive, etc.) however, every other light works (parking, tail, inside dome light, brakes, headlights). Please tell me if there is something that I am not seeing, also the radio works great, and the dash light/illumination wire is connected.

Thanks

You'll probably have to take the dash off and get a good look at the wiring. The idiots probably reached up and cut wires at random to get the deck out, and might have pulled a connector loose somewhere.

Boy it somewhat is the choice of my ninety 8 Camry lol. On my ninety 8 the air bag easy, and the brake easy on the sprint continuously stayed on. it somewhat is basically a bulb. the two shop it the way it somewhat is or pull the sprint aside and turn the bulbs. not a annoying restoration in case you have approximately an hour. FYI in case you air bag easy keeps to be on, dont difficulty approximately it. it somewhat is basic in Camrys. there is not something incorrect with it and it may not return out at you once you're utilising. My dad has been a mechanic for extremely almost 30 years and has his own employer. All he buys is Yotas

When the stole the deck, they probably left the dimmer wire exposed. This would have caused it to short to ground, blowing the fuse. Cap off all your wires until you get a new deck, and replace the fuse. Simple fix.
